SJDA, a non-profit membership based organization founded in 1986, represents business and property owners working to enhance the vitality and livability of downtown San Jose. SJDA strives to improve business conditions in downtown San Jose and promote a positive image of downtown through advertising, public relations and outdoor events. SJDA events for 2012 include: Downtown San Jose Farmers’ Market, Starlight Cinemas, Downtown Ice, South First Fridays STREET MRKTs, HER City events, and various other public space programming initiatives. The SJDA office is open Monday – Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.
Office Manager
San Jose Downtown Association is seeking an experienced Office Manager to join our fun and energetic team. This individual must be a self-starter, possess strong interpersonal skills, and be a team player. Further, this individual must demonstrate a strong work ethic and have great communication skills.
Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative support for entire office staff include remote employees
- Supervise Administrative Assistant
- Liaison to Board of Directors and Executive Committee: agendas, notices, minutes, catering, etc.
- Coordinates IT support; responsible for researching and purchasing new equipment
- Human resource functions includes payroll reporting, benefit administration, recruitment, and overseeing office policies
- Database management
- Lead membership recruitment program
- Oversee operations budget
- Other duties as assigned
Required Skills and Abilities:
The successful candidate will possess advanced computer skills, great attention to detail and the ability to multi-task with excellent writing skills and three-five years office administration experience. College degree is preferred.
Salary & Benefits:
This is full-time exempt position. Salary range is $45-52K and is commensurate with experience. We offer a competitive benefit package, which includes medical, dental, vision, life, 401-K and paid holidays.
