Now open every Friday
The cozy outdoor market takes place each Friday, from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. along a charming block of San Pedro Street between Santa Clara and St. John streets.
The market, featuring the fresh produce of more than 30 California-based growers, is produced in conjunction with Pacific Coast Farmers’ Market Association, celebrating its 25th year in 2013.
This coming celebratory year, PCFMA’s markets will be filled with a variety of exciting events. There will be a special photo exhibition featuring the farmers who work so hard to bring fresh local produce to market. There will be a timeline banner on view, showing the growth of the fresh and sustainable food to table movement and PCFMA’s part in it over the last 25 years. Special anniversary activities will include free cake, kids’ activities and arts and crafts, an appearance by Mr. Carrot at each market, cooking demonstrations with the Cookin’ the Market chefs, fun promotional giveaways like recycled bags, pens, or mugs, lots of enter to win contests, and a very special contest to win $2,500!! Visit pcfma.com/2500 for contest rules and requirements.

This is a Zero Waste Event
With the help of a Green Grant from the sustainable event planning, our vendors use bio-degradable bags and compostable serving ware. All waste is sorted with a majority diverted to compost or recyclable bins. Do your part – shop with re- usable bags.
San Jose Downtown Association has partnered withNothing Wasted Consulting and City of San Jose Environmental Services Department to add sustainable waste management best practices to the Farmers’ Market. With the assistance of the city’s Green Event Grant, our goal for 2012 is to divert 75 percent of event waste from landfill.
PLEASE DO YOUR PART TO MAKE THE FARMERS’ MARKET CLEAN AND GREEN
Locate the containers and place:
- GREEN “COMPOSTABLE” CONTAINERS: food scraps, paper food ware (such as plates, bowls, cups, napkins), and utensils;
- BLUE “RECYCLABLES” CONTAINERS: plastic bottles, plastic containers, aluminum cans, and aluminum foil;
Contact Nothing Wasted Consulting for more info.
