The @sj_downtown association would like to welcome @paletaplaneta to Downtown San Jose. Founders and brothers Luis and Mauricio started selling paletas and nieves from their parents garage, and now are located at the corner of 4th and Santa Clara street.

Visit their store Monday-Thursday from 12-7 and Friday to Sunday from 12-8.

The @sj_downtown is please to welcome brothers Mauricio and Luis Salazar of @paletaplaneta to downtown San Jose.

These are two latino entrepreneur who started off by selling paletas from their parents garage in 2021, and on the streets, but always with a dream to create quality and unique flavors to sell from their own storefront one day. That dream was realized today, activating a corner in downtown that will continue to bring more vibrancy to our urban core.

SJDA has already had the pleasure of working with paleta planeta during the summer at two of our starlight cinema movies. We look forward to working with you on other projects and welcome to downtown.

🇲🇽✨It was truly inspiring to see our diverse San Jose community come together at City Hall to celebrate El Grito and honor Mexico’s War of Independence Day. The evening was alive with vibrant culture, music, stunning horses, traditional performances, and delicious food!

On September 15, 1810, Miguel Hidalgo, a priest from the small town of Dolores near Guanajuato, made a bold decision that would forever change the course of Mexican history. His leadership sparked a revolution for freedom, and his legacy lives on today. We are proud to continue this rich tradition here in San Jose!

A huge thank you to @omartorresd3, @domingocandelasd8, @peterortiz, @mayomattmahn, @cityofsanjose, Comité de Fiestas Patrias, and the Mexican Consulate for making this event possible and for leading the celebration.

✨We had an incredible time celebrating Mexican Independence and our rich cultural heritage at the 2nd annual Cultura in the Park at César Chávez Park! The event was filled with delicious food, lively music, talented performers, local vendors, lowriders, and fun activities for kids.
