About this event

genARTS Creative Conversation is an annual event in partnership with Americans for The Arts. This year the event will be held at the San José Woman’s Club.

The discussion is FOCUSING on equitable access to the arts at local, state, and national levels; ENCOURAGING individuals, organizations, and diverse communities to participate in the arts; ALLOWING governments and businesses to show their support of the arts; and RAISING public awareness about the role the arts and humanities play in our communities and lives.

The evening will be moderated by Amanda Rawson from SJ Arts Advocates and include perspectives from leading community builders – Connie Martinez, CEO, SVCreates; Joyel Hames, Eya Diasporic Drum and Dance; Rodrigo García, Artistic Director, Teatro Visión; and Stacey Kellogg – Director, SJ Walls.

It will be a night to engage, dance, and play a little music. Dinner and drinks provided.

genARTS is Santa Clara Valley’s arts and culture leadership group that is dedicated to empowering creative individuals and emerging arts leaders. Americans for the Arts’ Creative Conversation is a national initiative that brings communities together to discuss issues of importance in local arts and culture sectors.
