“Home Court” screening of PBS Indie Lens documentary

Filmed over three years during Ashley Chea’s high school career, PBS IndieLens’ Home Court is a coming-of-age story that relays the highs and lows of her immigrant family, and Ashley surmounting challenges and personal trials that include a devastating knee injury. Despite the intensity of basketball recruiting, Ashley’s playful spark shines through, and her natural talent inspires the support of those around her. Home Court highlights both joy and heartache while exploring the high stakes of following the American dream. Presented by NorCal Public Media at Open San Jose, in association with Chopsticks Alley. Panelists include coach and athletes from Notre Dame San Jose High School, and Cambodian American Resource Agency.
