Bay Area diva Juanita Harris returns to Tabard to enchant audiences with her soulful voice and impeccable talent. Backed by a quartet led by Gus Kambeitz, this concert promises to be an unforgettable celebration of classic jazz standards plus some surprise selections. 

Juanita Harris began studying piano at 6, then violin at 8, and guitar at 10. In addition to performing throughout the Bay Area as a jazz soloist, she is presently a voice actor and has developed her own vocal studio emphasizing technique and performance.

Bandleader and Bassist Gus Kambeitz is also the bandleader for Nineteen Jazz Orchestra. With a BA in Jazz performance from San Jose State University and an  MA in jazz composition from Washington State University, he is currently the director of Jazz Studies at West Valley College in Saratoga, California. Gus has worked for the Gene Harris Jazz Festival, the Santa Cruz Jazz Festival, the Cuesta College Jazz Festival, the Kelowna B.C, Jazz Festival, the Lionel Hampton Jazz Festival, and the Diablo Valley College Jazz Festival. As a bassist Gus has performed with Beach Blanket Babylon, Princess Cruises, Jazz Northwest, Theaterworks, Kings Entertainment, Sylvia Cuenca, The Mod Squad and many others. Walrus Music Inc., and Sound Music Publications publish his original compositions and arrangements.
