Mason Razavi Clinic

April 22 @ 3:30 pm - 5:00 pm

SJSU School of Music, Room 182
One Washington Square, San Jose, CA 95192-0095

Join us for a dynamic clinic presented by guitarist, composer and educator Mason Razavi. Mason will lead a clinic in jazz improvisation, jazz guitar, jazz composition, and jazz educational pedagogy. All are welcome! You do not need to be a musician to appreciate this event.

Razavi has been praised for his “top-tier guitarmanship” (Vintage Guitar Magazine), while his compositions offer “an introspective experience of deeper meaning” (Jazz Times). Based in the San Francisco Bay Area, he’s been recognized in his hometown as a “melodically inventive composer” (San Jose Mercury News) and a “terrific and consistent presence in the Bay Area jazz scene” (Metro Online) who has “carefully crafted his own voice” (SanJose.com). He was a recipient of the 2021 Leigh Weimers Emerging Artist Award, named after the longtime Silicon Valley arts journalist, and his music has earned spots in the top 20 on jazz radio.

Sponsored by SJSU College of H&A AEPG Grants and part of the series formally known as the Black Cab Concert Series.
