San Jose Lowrider Day

Celebrating San Jose’s Rich Lowrider Culture & The Anniversary of The No Cruising Ban Lift!
FREE Family Event!
🗓️ When: Friday, September 1st, 2023
📍 Where: San Jose City Hall
🕐 Event Time: 1 PM-5 PM
🕑 Ceremony: 2 PM-3 PM
🕚 Lowrider Roll-In: 11 AM-12:30 PM
🕕 Story & King Cruise: 6 PM
LOWRIDER PARKING:
• Street parking is first come, first serve for lowriders and roll-in will be between 11 AM-12:30 PM.
• We will have street closures along Santa Clara St. between 4th and 7th Street.
• You can either enter through:
➖ 4th Street by Chevron and enter eastbound.
➖ 7th Street by Tostadas and enter westbound.
• No saving spots, no ins and outs, no exceptions!
• Be in your parked space no later than 12:30 PM for roll-in.
• Lowriders must be in cars by 5:15 PM ready to exit Santa Clara St.
• Cruise to Story & King at the end of the event!
SPECTATOR PARKING:
The following locations can be validated at the City Hall Rotunda:
• 6th Street City Hall garage
• 5th Street & East Saint John (Near City Hall Starbucks)
• 4th and San Fernando (Near the old Flames Restaurant)
LOWRIDER CRUISE:
Lowrider cruise will take place at 6 PM on Story & King along Story Rd. between Knox Ave. heading west and Hopkins Dr. heading east. Please do not park at nearby shopping centers, this is a cruise event!
Be mindful that this is a family-friendly event. We ask that everyone please adhere to the following code of conduct with the city:
• No alcohol.
• Come with a good attitude.
• Keep the event areas clean at all times.
• If you have trash, find a trash bin or bring a trash bag.
