Sixth Annual 31 Skulls Showcase & Auction
Local Color is thrilled to announce the return of its signature fundraiser, the Sixth Annual 31 Skulls Showcase & Auction, taking place on Friday, October 24, 2025, from 6 p.m. to Midnight at Guildhouse in downtown San José.
This one-night-only “Goth Formal” affair invites guests to revel in an evening of immersive art, live auction excitement, and ghoulish fun, all in support of Local Color’s mission to build equitable pathways for artists and creatives to thrive throughout the South Bay Area region.
Since the event’s debut in 2020, 31 Skulls has become a highly anticipated tradition. This year, 34 Local Artists who collaborated across Local Color’s programs were invited to transform blank ceramic skulls into original, show-stopping works of art. These skulls are then auctioned off to support Local Color in carrying out its mission—facilitating public art projects, artist studios, youth education, all-ages workshops, large-scale community events, and fiscal sponsorship for mission-aligned groups. Since its inception, local artists have created and donated 186 skulls to 31 Skulls in support of Local Color.
