SJSU Music: Orchestra with Mads Tolling

Two-time GRAMMY winner, violinist, and composer-in-residence Mads Tolling at SJSU! Mads Tolling is widely known as one of the most influential violinists active today, lauded for his work in a wide variety of genres, from classical to jazz, from folk to funk. Mads will join the SJSU Symphony Orchestra in a performance of his own virtuosic violin concerto. Come and join us for an exhilarating concert that will take you through a journey of crossover styles. Mads Tolling’s SJSU residency includes two improvisation workshops, both open to the public. All string players and jazz musicians of diverse backgrounds and experiences are welcome to attend and participate. Don’t miss this unique opportunity to learn about improvisation and attend an amazing performance with one of the world’s most versatile and multifaceted violinists, Mads Tolling!
