About this event

Did you know that San Jose Museum of Quilts & Textiles (SJMQT) is celebrating its 45th Birthday this May? To mark the occasion, SJMQT will host Community Day!

In collaboration with the ICA San JoséVeggielutionSan José Public Library, and local artists, we are preparing a day of fun and creativity.

Bring your family and friends to explore the galleries and enjoy family-friendly activities inspired by our spring exhibitions.

This event is FREE and open to the public. All ages are welcome.

Indoor activities

11am–3pm | Drop-in anytime!

  • Needlework fun with The Rhinoceros Project at SJMQT
  • Scavenger hunt at SJMQT and ICA

Outdoor activities | At SoFa Pocket Park, next door to SJMQT

11am–12pm

  • Storytime with San José Public Library

12pm-1:30pm

  • Embroidery workshop with Carolina Cuevas

12pm-3pm | Drop-in anytime!

  • Transformation Station with Amy Hibbs
  • Cyanotype printing with Ewa Gavrielov
  • Color chroma with Lisa Solomon
