Stories through Music

February 1 @ 7:30 pm - 9:30 pm

Cambrian Symphony is thrilled to present our next concert, Stories through Music – a perfect way to ring in the new year!

Dr. Catalina Barraza-Gerardino leads the ensemble in exciting program, filled with rich narrative and exciting melodies. Enjoy Florence Price’s The Oak, an unpublished tone poem that has only in the last few years been professionally recorded. As a special treat, Cambrian is proud to feature extraordinary young musician Katelyn Deng, winner of 2024’s Burlingame Music Club Competition in Beethoven’s Piano Concerto No. 1.

The program concludes with Berlioz’s epic Symphonie Fantastique, a musical self-portrait. Through each movement, the composer explores his passion for a beautiful women, obsessions and dreams, despair and ecstasy.
