Event Details
Welcome to Prismatic Market—an intentionally Queer celebration in the heart of Downtown San José! Join us for a joyful afternoon filled with creativity, community, and connection. Everyone is welcome. Literally.
What to Expect:
- Featuring 20+ makers, artists, illustrators and retail vendors in a Queer-friendly Vendor Market
- PLUS Hair & Bang Trims by @snippedbysalem & @thehoopinghairwitch (sliding scale pricing)
- PLUS Free Zine-making Workshop by Buppydogs
- Swap: Free clothing, shoes, and accessories. Participants can donate if they wish, but a donation is not required to participate and get clothing. If you bring a donation (clothes, shoes, and accessories welcome), please note that underwear, swim bottoms, or bodysuits without the bottom part cut off cannot be accepted.
- Mending & Alterations: Hand and/or machine repairs (cropping or tightening) for a fee. Sliding-scale pricing (pay what you can).
- Screen-printing: Pre-screen printed patches that can be sewn onto participants’ attire or bags of choice / live screen printing for a fee. Participants can bring something or select something from the swap and have it screen printed.
- PLUS Screen printing, Clothing Mending, Alterations, and Up-cycling (limited selection of services), and a Free Clothing Swap (Gender & Size Inclusive) with San José Clothing Swap!
- PLUS Local Santa Clara County LGBTQIA+ Resources with The LGBTQ Youth Space, The Q Corner, and HEART (Healthy, Equitable, and Respectful Together).
