The San Jose Downtown Association actively seeks sponsors for our 2013 and 2014 events.
Since its beginning, the San Jose Downtown Association has developed fun, safe and family-oriented events that promote and energize the San Jose downtown core. For each of the past 18 years, the Downtown Association has managed more than 100 days of programming in the downtown area.
The Downtown Farmers’ Market (1993-present), Downtown Ice skating rink (1995-present), and the Music in the Park series (1989-2011) combined have attracted more than 2.5 million participants.
South First Friday’s and Street Market (2005-present), Starlight Cinema (2002-present), HERCity (2012-present) and The Fountain Blues Festival (2011-present) attract hundreds of thousands of attendees and participants.
Production of quality events is a SJDA core competency. SJDA has produced events in Downtown San Jose since 1988. Our current staff represents over 70 years of combined experience managing all aspects of the non-profit business organization’s events and maintaining a balanced budget. Our Board of Directors, comprised of experienced downtown business owner’s, holds staff accountable for tight budgets and leveraging trade opportunities.
