Opening Celebration | Seeing through Stone

Celebrate the opening of SJMA’s exhibition Seeing through Stone at SJMA, part of the ongoing Visualizing Abolition series, which brings together artwork that engages with prisons, justice, and freedom to provide a vision and model of abolition in practice. Galleries are open late with local musical acts. Stop by El Cafecito by Mezcal Restaurant for a light bite and cash bar.
MEMBER RECEPTION6–7pm: Members, join us in the Wendel Education Center for wine and light bites ahead of the opening remarks. Check in at the membership table and pick up your souvenir button.
OPENING CELEBRATION7pm: Remarks by S. Sayre Batton, Oshman Executive Director and Lauren Schell Dickens, chief curator
