Celebrate San José’s cultural diversity and history at San José Roots in the heart of downtown at San Pedro Square Market! This FREE program aims to provide a platform for cultural
exchange, storytelling, and artistic expression, showcasing the rich historical and contemporary
contributions of various communities in San José.
What to Expect:
– Cultural performances on the San Pedro Square Market stage in collaboration with @MosaicAmerica
– Vendor and community booths from local historical & art organizations along W St. John Street
– Hands-on activities from San José’s Spanish & Mexican eras
– Poetry performances in the Fallon House Garden with @PoetryCenterSJ
– Tours of the historic Gonzales/Peralta Adobe & Fallon House
This great event is free and open to the public thanks to the City of San Jose’s Office of Cultural
Affairs’ Festival, Parade and Celebration grant.
