NCVA Girls Kickoff Tournament 2020

The tournament takes place on Saturday, January 18th through Monday, January 20th, 2020. While the event takes place over three days, each team will only play two of those three days. Divisions will play either Saturday and Sunday OR Sunday and Monday.

Greenbelt Alliance has partnered with SPUR, as part of the Regional Strategy initiative, to produce the briefing paper Managing the Urban Edge. Presenting a range of tools that have proven successful in limiting encroachment across the Bay Area, the report introduces additional strategies linking conservation to climate adaptation while considering the factors driving sprawl today, especially in the Central Valley. Free for SPUR members. $10 for non-members.

SPUR – Plumed Serpent and Art as Civic Discourse

Plumed Serpent by artist Robert Graham has become a lightning rod for civic discourse. To some, it is a beautiful homage to Mexican culture, while others debate its artistic merit, religious symbolism, cost and more. Since some art narratives are more flawed than others, this is why Plumed Serpent’s story bears investigation. Getting around

All of the Bay Area’s major roads lead to downtown San Jose. And finding parking is easy in a ParkSJ garage.

Downtown is also the hub for Light Rail and VTA bus systems. A free shuttle (the DASH) runs through downtown and to Diridon Station, with its Caltrain, Amtrak and ACE service. The Mineta San Jose International Airport is only 10 minutes away.
